Arsenal set to be given automatic Champions League place with Manchester City set for Ban

Manchester City’s quest to Champions League title may have to hold for an year more at the cost of gifting Arsenal a free entry into the same. I say again, next season we may not season the Sky Blue jersey stepping on the star marked football.

As per the reports, Manchester City has been found guilty of manipulating £70 million transfer fund at the name of sponsorship. The owners of City claimed it to be sponsorship income when it was not.

In a first, UEFA investigators have decided to ban Pep Guardiola’s side for breaking the financial rules. This gives a major boost to Arsenal’s Champions League chances, relieving them of a pressure in Europa League final which, erstwhile, was dead important to win.

The statements have been issued by UEFA committee and MCFC concerning the ban. If City appeal for a ban lift they will miss the next season (2020-21). And if they don’t appeal then they’ll have to relax in 2019-20. Arsenal would be hoping to see City banned in the 2019-20 season.

Arsenal have finished fifth in the domestic league and therefore have a chance of no filter entry into Champions League, thanks to the owners of Manchester City.

City, meanwhile, have been denying the accusations but now the final decision holds on UEFA chief investigator Yves Leterme.

In a statement released on Thursday, Uefa said: “The Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) chief investigator, after having consulted with the other members of the independent investigatory chamber of the CFCB, has today decided to refer Manchester City FC to the CFCB adjudicatory chamber following the conclusion of his investigation.“

“The CFCB investigatory chamber had opened an investigation into Manchester City FC on 7 March 2019 for potential breaches of Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations that were made public in various media outlets.”

With the form Arsenal is in, a Champions League entry is precisely ours because we for sure know that Europa League will be Emery’s but to get entry in the Champions League after seeing Manchester City slip will be no less than a victory in itself. Not only for us but football as a whole.
