Pep Guardiola has made an incredible prediction about Arsenal’s season and has backed them to replicate the 100-point season and lift the Premier League title.
Arsenal have been high-flying in the Premier League this season and there seems to be no way of stopping them. The league leaders have an eight-point lead over Man City in the second place although they have played one game more.
Pep has claimed that it looks almost impossible that Arsenal drop points between now and the end of the season. He says that his side will have to be perfect whilst hoping the Gunners slip up.
“The way to reduce the gap is by playing good and winning games. But they (Arsenal) are going to do 100 or more points the way they have gone so far. If they continue this way, we will not catch them. We have to be almost perfect, I would say, from here to the end of the season and hope they drop a little bit in their performance, because yesterday they were excellent.”
Although he is competing against Arsenal in the Premier League, Pep will definitely be proud of the fact that his mentee Mikel Arteta is doing such a great job with the Gunners team.
The biggest thing that Man City will be backing on is the fact that they are yet to face Arsenal in the Premier League this campaign. They have two games against Arteta’s men in February and April.
These couple of games could go a long way in deciding if Man City can mount a title challenge or not. Let’s hope Pep comes up with something special to get one over his apprentice.
