Man City Injury News and Update

Alisson Becker set to miss game against Manchester City

Manchester City are involved in what is set to be a thrilling title race against Liverpool and Arsenal. Only two points separate the top 3 and even a small slip-up from any of the three could prove critical in the race for the premiership.

Man City are yet to face Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League and are scheduled to face them on 10th March and 31st March respectively. The team will travel to Anfield in the second week of March, where they’ll face Liverpool. However, it appears that 31-year-old Alisson Becker will be unavailable for the fixture due to a hamstring injury.

This comes as a massive boost for Manchester City, as the shot-stopper’s absence can prove to be the difference between taking a result out of Merseyside.

Brazil manager Dorival Júnior speaking to TNT sport Brazil said, “Alisson, Matheus Cunha and Brighton’s Joao Pedro will miss friendly encounters in March due to injury.”

With Alisson injured, Caoimhín Kelleher takes the gloves between the woodwork for Liverpool and he did have an impressive display against Brentford at the weekend.
