To thwart a complete team like Manchester City is far unpredictable. The depth they possess, the quality they infiltrate and the passion they have towards their game makes them invincible.
Burnley, however, is one side that can cause havoc in the dressing room of City when they face City on Sunday. We have seen City succumb to the Clarets recently in their travel of 2017/18 season. The Clarets have been harsh to their visitors, Chelsea being the latest, who were set aback by the hosts giving them only a point.
The former City centre-back Mee who presently plays for Burnley told Mirror, ”We try to make it difficult for whoever comes here and it will be difficult for the two big teams coming to our place City and Arsenal. We’re looking forward to it,”
“Especially against the top teams, you have to give something different. You can’t go out, play nice football and let them play nice football against you. You can’t expect us to roll over and say: ‘here you go, have the three points’.
“We’re going to work hard, make it uncomfortable for them as possible and we’ll certainly do that against City.
“It’ll be good to compete against these teams coming up. Man City, the best team in the league, they’re going for it with Liverpool at the minute and these are the games where you compete and see where you’re at as a professional,” Mee added.
The 36th game of the season for City can weigh either way if Burnley don’t give up their “never give up” attitude. The physicality of this team is difficult to master and this is where Guardiola’s brainy stuff will come in. We would not want to make any mistake considering the fight of Leicester and Brighton to come.
