Manchester City have written to supporters offering a full refund for the remaining Premier League fixtures of the 2019/20 season.

Premier League football was suspended due to coronavirus in mid-March and fans have been waiting for an update since. The League has been given a go-ahead, though matches will be played behind closed doors.

As confirmed by MEN, supporters will get their money back who bought tickets for Premier League remaining fixtures and Real Madrid Champions League game.

In addition, seasoncard holders have an option of taking the refund as a credit for the remaining six home Premier League matches towards their season ticket for the 2020/21 season.

An email sent to fans on Wednesday afternoon read:

“Following the Government’s announcement that any return to professional sport will take place behind closed doors and begin no earlier than 1st June, we wanted to provide an update with regards to General Admission Seasoncards and match tickets.

“Given the announcement and as we had previously communicated, Seasoncard holders will now be offered a refund equating to the value of the remaining six home Premier League matches. Supporters who had purchased individual match tickets for fixtures including home and away Premier League, or any other Cup fixture, home or away, will also receive a full refund.

“In order to provide as much flexibility as possible for our Seasoncard holders, we are also offering an opt in for match credit for the remaining six home Premier League matches which can be carried over to the 2020/21 season.”
