With resumption of contact training, maybe we might see our beloved Manchester City back in action soon and its not only us but as Benjamin Mendy reveals the squad is excited ahead of returning into Premier League action, speaking with FourFourTwo.
Although there has been some voices about many players not thrilled at the prospect of returning on field owing to health dangers, as even Sergio Agüero suggested sometime back. Mendy’s comments suggests that City players would have no issues if Premier League returns.
“I can’t wait. We are just waiting for the green light. Everywhere we see we are going to start on this date and that date. Now I wait for the guys to text us to tell us the league is going to start at this time. We are going to be so happy”, said City’s left back.
The Frenchman downplayed any potential risks with returning: “I know they are going to take all the precautions when we are back…they are going to check everything and I think that’s why it takes time”.

As of now, it seems Premier League might return on either of 19 June and 26 June although there is no official confirmation about anything yet!
