Since the start of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign, three English have retained their unbeaten streak which are Manchester City (currently first), Liverpool (second) and Chelsea (third).

Manchester City have seem to return to their goal-difference ways after the Pep Guardiola’s side defeating Burnley in a 5-0 thriller last weekend.

The Guardiola’s team will be facing off Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently sitting at the fifth spot and is two points different from City, in a Monday night football game. Ahead of that, you can book down your game with wagering sites, like BetEasy, offering the latest betting odds in the Premier League.

Speaking ahead of the face-off with Mauricio Pochettino’s side, Guardiola said via EuroSport: “We saw the game against Inter Milan in the Champions League and the last game at PSV Eindhoven and they were not worse than their opponents – I’d say they were better.

“They are one of the teams I like to watch the most. I learn when I watch them.

“They have a lot of international players and their base is from the English national team. They’ve a young team, a good keeper and good strikers. They have everything to be there.”

The defending champions, however, will be looking to reproduce their last season to help them retain the Premier League title once again with the competitions in the English League growing ever tighter than before.

With the tightness of the competition, the Citizens cannot afford to lose one match with Liverpool on the same points with the English Champions so far as the fixtures is concerned.

“Always it’s tough. It was in my first season here. I didn’t expect any more.” Guardiola continued.

“But nothing is going to change my opinion of my team. I want to focus to win the game and give a good performance, knowing the quality of the Spurs side.

“But it’s not going to finish anything. After this it’s Fulham, Southampton, (Manchester) United and Shakhtar (Donetsk).”

After the Premier League match, Pep Guardiola’s will be facing off Fulham in Football League Cup on Thursday night.
