It’s been three long months since we saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang flipping running towards the corner flag having scored yet another for Arsenal. Well, that’s about to end as Arsenal return to action tomorrow when they travel to Manchester to face the mighty Manchester City. Though this time around there is something different about Arsenal, the man incharge, Mikel Arteta – someone who knows the reigning champions inside out.

And catalyst to his cause, Aubameyang will have to be at his A game if Arsenal are to drive back to London with three points. The Gabonese is one of the most accurate striker in the Premier League – he has been a lone wolf in a squad that has struggled time to time under Unai Emery and with the arm-band at his biceps, Aubameyang is one of Arteta’s most important player if Arsenal are to qualify for the Champions League.

Aubameyang’s stats are enough to cause an havoc in Manchester City’s tactical room, having scored seventeen goals this season – just two behind golden boot leader Jamie Vardy. He has stood up everytime Arsenal required him to and will have to do that once again to make sure the Gunners restart the campaign in high spirits.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Arsenal’s call to envy of goals, and so has Sergio Aguero been for Manchester City for a while now.

Sergio Aguero is a playing legend for the Blues owing to his presence in front of goal since his move from Atletico Madrid. The Argentine is regarded as one of the best overseas player to play in the Premier League and his stats are allaby to it.

Aguero will be looking to get back to goals for Pep Guardiola’s men and also prove his case to start ahead of Gabriel Jesus, with the Spainard preferring the later at times to the frustration of City’s supporters as the South American eyes multiple Premier League records.

The talismanic forward whose strike brought our first title in 44 years has already added four Premier League crowns to his name. Aguero (180* goals) pipped Thierry Henry (175 goals) to achieve the all-time leading foreign goalscorer when he netted a hat-trick at Villa Park at the beginning of January. His hat-trick also surpassed Alan Shearer record for the most PL hat-tricks.

Both of them are lethal strikers and it would be an interesting watch to see who comes out on top.

Aubameyang shared the golden boot last season with twenty-two goals and is ahead of Aguero by one as both of them will eye not only the golden boot but also an elite status.
