A big relief to many Manchester City fans out there!! Pep Guardiola has been speculated with a move away from Man City almost every season now for the last three but has somehow managed to stay. The speculations only grew after the Spaniard winning the Champions League title – only missing feather under his belt with the Citizens. After winning the Champions League, talks about Guardiola exiting the Premier League accelerated until the start of this season.

The history maker was said to be leaving Manchester this season – one year before his present contract expiry. Pep however has hinted that he will stay for a year and a half more atleast now. In fact, he could even extend his contract if that may.

When asked by interviewers before his Tuesday night encounter with RB LEIPZIG, Guardiola hinted: “I have energy. I’m not going to answer,” he said. “One year and a half is a lot of time in football. I arrived here with long hair and look what happened.”

“Yeah of course – I can leave tomorrow [too]. I would have loved the team that won 100 points [in the 2017-18 season] to stay eternally. At all the clubs this happens.”

Guardiola doesn’t really have to stay considering the accolades he has accumulated under his name. With five Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, four League Cups, the Champions League and the Super Cup – the MANAGER has won it ALL.
