Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is keen on signing talented Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni and bringing him to Etihad.
Bastoni is one of the most talented defenders in the Serie A. He has shown his quality a lot in recent times and for a long now, he has been tipped for a big money move. As big a club as Inter Milan is, Bastoni might be keen on a move to the Premier League where undoubtedly, the recognition is much higher than the other leagues.
To play for a club like Manchester City and for a manager like Pep Guardiola is a dream situation for any player and Bastoni will be a player who will suit the system exceptionally well.
Man City have a lot of centre-backs in the squad but a player like Bastoni is always a plus. Pep has also shown us he knows how to deal with a huge squad and make sure none of them feels left out.
Bastoni is just 23-years-old. Generally, centre-backs peak at the age of 28-32 but the Italian is already a top-level player. If Man City sign him, he can be a fixture in the line-up for another decade. Being a left-footed centre-back makes him even more appealing for City. Aymeric Laporte is the only player who is left-footed in their centre-back contingent and Bastoni makes a lot of sense.
The Italian centre-back will not come cheap but he will be worth the money we pay for him. Let’s hope we can pull this off.
