Pep Guardiola and Arsene Wenger go head-to-head at Wembley on Sunday as the Blues are looking for a third League Cup triumph in five years.
In Carabao Cup Final conference, The Blues Boss spoke about Arsene Wenger. Here is what he said:
“Arsene has made an outstanding job here in England,” he stated.
“He is special. To be there for a long time in the same place means you are comfortable there and that people are comfortable with you.
“Everybody can win and only stay for a short time but if you stay for a long time, it’s because you are good. Simple.
“You have passion and you are still enjoying your job, and you believe and dream that you can do better with your club and your players. That’s the reason for longevity.
“I think he did [make a significant impact in English football]. I was not here – you (the journalists) were here – but definitely.
“When one manager is at one club for a long time it’s because of success and he has done good things but on Sunday, he is my rival…”
