It was reported that Manchester City can risk losing another upcoming superstar in Phil Foden, with plenty of clubs in Europe were monitoring Foden’s situation at Manchester.

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund were revolving around him looking to teaming him up with Jadon Sancho. But the former Wales international Craig Bellamy urged the teenage not to follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho and should concrete his place at Etihad and learn move from Pep Guardiola.

Jadon Sancho left City in a controversial move to Borussia Dortmund and the move paid-off with Sancho becoming the first footballer in 21st century called up by England at senior level and was named Bundesliga player of the month this week.

“Attacking players are more like free spirits,” Bellamy told The Debate. “You can afford to put Sancho further up the pitch in the final third, let him go and do what he wants and create. In midfield, where Foden plays, there’s more responsibility.

“He is getting game time at City and he’s still very, very young. He’s learning off some incredible players there and the best manager I’ve seen so it makes sense for him to stay where he is. He’s in good hands.

“If he gets the opportunity then to develop and go out on loan to a very good football club where he can definitely go and get his game time and then come back to takeover David Silva’s place, I see that making sense.”
