São Paulo looking to extend Nahuel Ferraresi stay

Nahuel-Ferraresi-Sao-Paulo

In accordance with the development of players, loans have become bit of a mandate unless you’ve been blessed with Phil Foden’s abilities – and following the same, Manchester City, back in August, loaned out Nahuel Bustos and Nahuel Ferraresi to São Paulo.

Nahuel Bustos’ time in Brazil didn’t last long though, failing to build a repo with manager Rogério Ceni – the clubs decided to call time on the loan and he returned back to Manchester. Bustos is now closing in on a similar temporary move away to join Argentine side Tallares.

Talking about Nahuel Ferraresi, he did stay at São Paulo. And if the reports out of Brazil are to be believed, the clubs are already working on possibilities to extend his spell in Brazil. Journalist Gabriel Sá claims that the initial deal would run out in January 2023 but São Paulo are ‘already moving behind the scenes’ to extend his stay beyond and possibly until December 2023.

There are claims that initial contract does contain an extension clause that the Brazilian giants are working to trigger.

Nahuel Ferraresi is an interesting case. He has been on the clubs’ books since 2017 without convincing Pep Guardiola for opportunities in the first team. The Venezuelan is twenty-four already and possibilities of a permanent move could already be in whispers at the Etihad.
