Manchester City and Liverpool both started their pre-season campaign with a friendly match against Borussia Dortmund. Coincidentally, both Premier League clubs lost to the German side.
Both Premier League clubs will lock horns when they meet at MetLife Stadium in the second of three International Champions Cup games on Wednesday.

Man City will be without majority of his first team members with World Cup participation. Pep Guardiola will play a similar youthful line-up to the one that faced Dortmund. Riyad Mahrez and Joe Hart is expected to be involved once again against the Reds.
Phil Foden, Brahim Diaz and Oleksandr Zinchenko are few names who would be looking to make case for themselves. Aymeric Laporte is likely to return in starting XI after missing the previous game through injury.
For the Reds, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane could appear against Premier League champions while Firmino is still on holiday. Joel Matip has returned home after the injury picked in a 3-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool new goalkeeper Alisson will not meet up with the Reds until their second training camp in France.
While Georginio Wijnaldum faces a late fitness test.
