Pep Guardiola, a name that rocks the technical area, is counted one of the geniuses to manage a team. His managerial career from Barcelona working with the likes of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Thierry Henry and of course, Lionel Messi to coach players like Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery while in charge at Bayern Munich, the Catalan sergeant has managed some legendary players over the years.
But according to Guardiola, none of those names he managed, or anyone else for that matter, is as talented as 19-year-old Phil Foden.
Ahead of his team’s pre-season friendly against Yokohama F. Marinos on Saturday, the Blues boss said, “He [Foden] has everything to become one of the best players,” Guardiola said.
“I have said many times in press conferences, but maybe not said it in front of him, Phil is the most, most, most talented player I have ever seen in my career as a manager.
“His only problem is sometimes his manager doesn’t put him in the starting XI. Hopefully in the future that can improve.”
In Phil Foden, Mancity have found a prince to hold the helm of the midfield who will keep the opponents defence at sixes and sevens, in near future. The 18-year-old, only in his teenage has already been compared to a footballing great. Still in the dawn of his career, Phil Foden has tagged as a bright future prospect.
The youngster has an array of potential and skills, he only needs to put those into the pitch consistently to fill in the shoes of ageing David Silva.
