Tottenham pose threat to Manchester City’s position

Everton-vs-tottenham-report

Tottenham won their last game against Everton 6-2, a manner beyond convincing for the North London giants in which they beat good looking Everton ruthlessly. The game was entertaining, results were resourceful for the club as it brought them two points closer to last year champions Manchester City.

After 18 games in this season, Manchester City lost their first home game to a wobbly Crystal Palace side in a close encounter that ended 2-3 in disfavour of the Champions. The loss not only made them 4 points adrift to top positioned Liverpool but also brought Tottenham 2 points closer, creating bigger threat in upcoming games.

With the loss against Crystal Palace, the Blues of Manchester have faced criticism in consistently rotating their side but the manager has remained adamant in his tactics and still believes that Manchester City can regain their top spot.

While the trio of Mohammad Salah, Firmino and, Sane persistently keep on pushing Manchester City’s title hopes away, the three starlets of Spurs; Harry Kane, Son Heung Min and Dele Alli are not willing to make things easier for Guardiola.

Manchester City can now leave no room for complacency in their upcoming games and with 20 more to go, the Champions can surely trust upon themselves as still the most dominant side in the Premier League even after being 2nd of the table.

The Blues now travel to Leicester City on 26th afternoon that will be a must win encounter, if they want to keep Tottenham behind their tail.
