Days into the Premier League, we have witnessed two players anchoring their role as a swivel. Bernardo Silva of Manchester City and Roberto Pereyra of Watford have left no stones upturned, performing above their standards. The clash of two titans is set to be witnessed at Vicarage Road.

The Argentine assassin will be Watford’s paramount hope when they face City who is unwilling to lose, unable to defeat. City’s magnificent run has been lead by the 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva who has been called as “real gem” by City fans.

The D-Day has certainly arrived for both the players, where Roberto Pereyra would be keen to impress Chelsea board( with whom he has been linked of a transfer) and Bernardo Silva looking to terminate the fact that Kevin De Bruyne’s absence is noticeable.

Roberto Pereyra

The Argentine Assassin has already scored five goals for Watford, none less than match-winning goals. The playmaker has been in sublime form under Javi Gracia’s guidance who has got the best out of Pereyra.

Delighted to be linked with Chelsea, Pereyra would feel Manchester City as much as an opportunity than an opposition. A team against whom good performance will be praised by all, talked by many and noticed by few(with money).

His outstanding performances this season has shut all his critics and already made him a star for the Hornets. Attracting the likes of many, Pep Guardiola’s team discussion could surround Pereyra and ways to stop the Argentine.

If someone has the ability to kill winning streak of City, to drown their ever-rising ship and to cause upset, it is none other than Roberto Pereyra who can run through the left-flank and supply a perfect cross or even cause problems for Ederson with his booms from outside the box.

Bernardo Silva

Bernardo Silva, the 24-year-old Portuguese sensation who has already been scanned as the successor of Cristiano Ronaldo who is in his 30’s and on the verge of retirement. And why not? Bernardo Silva has proved one and all why he can replace the armband of Ronaldo in glimpses of his recent performances.

Taking over Kevin De Bruyne after the Belgian sustained 3-month injury, Bernardo Silva has given no chance of complaints to Pep Guardiola and made fans of other clubs bemoan the fact that Bernardo Silva is not in their team.

A left-footed craftsman has worked perfectly out playing in front with his namesake David, Sane, Aguero or Jesus and, Mahrez or even Sterling. He has been the fulcrum to City’s attack, providing resourceful assists or timely goals.

Pep Guardiola may shuffle his pack but Bernardo remains the ace for City, in all games. The midfielder bagged his seventh goal in City’s last game against Bournemouth and it is hard to defy the awe of his quality.

While City remains the favorite to win the clash, the battle of best midfielder still remains in tantamount.
