It’s time for UEFA Champions League, as Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City begin their quest for European glory this Wednesday. City will kick-off their Champions League campaign against Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon.
The Catalan Boss will be keen to kick-start the campaign with a victory over the Ligue 1 outfit.
Venue: Etihad Stadium
Date: September 19, 2018
Kick-off: 8:00 p.m BST
For Man City, Kevin De Bruyne and Claudio Bravo are both sidelined for another couple of months.
Benjamin Mendy was left-out of City squad in 3-0 win against Fulham with a knee injury, while Aguero jarred his ankle during Saturday’s match. Though neither injury is considered serious.
Fabian Delph is likely to remain at left-back position for the midweek clash and Aguero could be a doubt to be fit in time to face Lyon.
For Lyon, they will be without Amine Gouiri and Marcal. Memphis Deepay should return to starting XI.
Moussa Dembele, who joined the club from Celtic on September 1, made his debut coming on as a substitute at the weekend and is available.
