Shakhtar Donetsk’s attacking midfielder Taison will miss out on Champions League group stage fixtures against Manchester City after receiving a horror challenge from Igor Kharatin in Shakhtar’s 1-1 draw against Zorya this Sunday.
Taison has damaged his cruciate ligament and is expected to be sidelined for atleast a month, which suggests he won’t be able to feature for Shakhtar for both the legs against Manchester City.

Taison had a large scale impact on Shakhtar Donetsk, the last time they faced Manchester City.
City are in a tight spot in their group – sitting on the second position with only one point before heading to a double encounter against Shakhtar Donetsk.
