As per the Spanish newspaper AS, Man City are ready to offer £358 million for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi in January if Messi opts against signing his new contract with Barcelona.
The report suggests that “serious conversations have been held with the footballer’s inner circle”.
Messi has scored 521 goals in 585 appearances since featuring for Barcelona in 2004, in that period winning Eight La Liga titles and Four Champions League titles emerging as Greatest Of All Time.
Earlier this summer the Daily Reports claim that meeting between Messi’s representatives and Manchester City chiefs was held last week where the City chiefs enquired about possibility of getting the Hero of Argentina to England.
That came after The Catalans announced Messi agreed a four-year contract with Barca that would keep him at the club until 2021. But that is yet to formalised, meaning Barcelona Hero is on course to become a free agent at the end of the season.
